{Even miracles take a little time}

Yes, you are reading that correctly, I am pregnant! My happy little egg is growing and is roughly the size of a small orange seed. I adored telling Matt, I will remember it forever. I bought Keelie {our 2yr old golden retriever} a "Big Sister" t shirt and had her wearing it when he got home from work. His response was a very excited "Really?!"
 We had been trying for a few months and when I started to cramp a few days ago I thought that we were not successful yet again, but, a few things were going on with my body that were unfamiliar and got me thinking "maybe this is something different." I was supposed to get a visit from Auntie on Saturday, but when she still didn't arrive on Sunday I tested. It was the longest few minutes ever! When it said "pregnant" I couldn't believe it, six hours later I tested again to be sure. Soon after that Matthew came home and I finally was able to share the news with someone!

Now, I'm just going to start sharing everything with this blog. I think it's going to be a great way to talk about how I feel and share it with family and friends. For now it's just for me though...We want to tell family face to face {and want to tell family before friends} and since we live so far away it makes it more difficult. I can't wait, it's all so exciting and scary... it still doesn't feel real. I want to tell everyone so badly, I think my mom wouldn't mind a phone call, she would probably really like one, she has said for a long time that she wants to be "the first to know". I semi-understand that, but I still wish she didn't care so much about when she knows or the order she's told. Isn't it important to just be told? I can't wait to hear everyone's responses and see their faces (((if possible))).

"Even miracles take a little time." - Fairy Godmother, Cinderella

I love that quote and it's been encouraging throughout the entire time we were trying, and now that we're expecting. Its going to be a long and exciting road & I look forward to every day of it.

Keep checking back for more updates and photos & please keep us in your thoughts & prayers.

Love,
Kristen
