{~Hippopotamus~}

 Hello belly! BabyI have been doing some growing! He is roughly the size of a head of cauliflower (and still hanging out really low, my back can tell you all about that!) and I am about the size of a small hippopotamus... well, that's how I feel anyway.

 I had my glucose test on Saturday and I am hoping that I passed, because I do not want to have to go through that again. First, I had to fast for a minimum of two hours before my appoint then the "drink" they gave me was like a thick, flat, extra sweet orange soda - the taste wasn't too bad, it was that I had to drink the entire thing in under 5 minutes, could not get a drink of water or leave the room for the entire hour until they needed to test my blood sugar. Then, it made me feel fairly nauseous and gave me a little headache, but finally they took several tubes of blood and sent Matt and I home. Fortunately I brought a book with me, so the hour passed fairly quickly. If for some reason I don't pass, the next test will be a two hour wait (I am not sure I can sit and not need to go to the restroom for that long!)

Baby is still moving around a lot. I am loving feeling him explore inside my belly. I wonder what he thinks about. I can't wait for him to get here, but I also don't want to give up the amazing feeling of him growing inside me. What a miracle! Sometimes I still can't believe that I am going to be a parent. I am overwhelmingly thankful for such a blessing and I pray I can be the mom that God is trusting me to be.

I have sorted and put away all of Owen's newborn to 3-6month clothes. His drawers are pretty much packed to the top and he has a good start on the closet - I can't even imagine where we will fit anything else after the shower! Everything 6mo and up I decided to keep in a tote and I will switch the clothes over as he grows.

Speaking of the shower, I had the strangest dream that I got to the shower and the only guests were my friends Heather and MaryKate. Decorations were everywhere, the theme was Mexican and party favors were pinatas filled with McDonald's food. When I woke up I thought "Why McDonald's food and not Taco Bell?" haha!

I am very excited for next weekend (Feb 1-2). Heather is going to take my maternity pictures on Friday afternoon, then on Saturday is the shower. I can't wait to see everyone that is able to come.

My dizziness still comes and goes, but it hasn't been as severe in a few weeks, so I think watching my carbs/sugars has been a lot of help. All in all I still feel really good.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Kristen, Matthew & Peanut
